Gerardo Monroy
Vice President - Bankers Long Term Care
Gerardo Monroy joined Bankers in 2002 as vice president, distribution strategy and field support.
In 2005, he was named vice president, career distribution and operations strategy and chief of
staff to the company's chief operating officer. Today he serves the company as its vice president
of field administration & analysis.
In his current role, Monroy is responsible for distribution planning and analysis, field compensation,
agent recruiting, sales technology, field compliance, meeting planning and field communications. His
area provides analysis and development of key processes and metrics to help manage the company's
distribution growth strategy and agent retention.
Before joining Bankers, Monroy worked for its parent company, Conseco, Inc., as a vice president
in the corporate marketing group. He has also worked for international corporations in Mexico and
Italy, including Procter & Gamble and United Technologies. He holds an MBA from Harvard
University and a bachelor's degree in public accounting from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico
City.
Monroy serves as board chairman of the Latino Education Alliance (LEA), a Chicago-based nonprofit organization.
