David Vega
Vice President - New Business and Underwriting
David Vega, Vice President of New Business and Underwiriting for Bankers Life and Casualty Company,
joined the company in 2006 bringing more than 15 years of experience in operations with an
extensive background in delivering services in the insurance industry.
Prior to his current
position, which he assumed in October 2009, Vega was Senior Director, Long Term Care operations
for Bankers. Before Bankers, David was Director of Operations with the Long Term Care Group,
a national supplier of outsourced services in the long term care industry. He has also served
in a variety of claims operations management positions for CIGNA Insurance within Property and
Casualty Workers' Compensation and Group Health Disability.
He obtained a Bachelors of
Business Administration degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Texas
at San Antonio and holds the distinction of being an inaugural member of the Center for
Professional Excellence - Leadership Challenge program.
