Chicago, IL (October 8, 2009) - Bankers Life and Casualty Company announced that Michael Buckley has been promoted to senior vice president, sales.
Buckley, 58, joined Bankers in 2004 and served previously as Territory Vice President for the Northeast Territory. He reports to Scott Perry, president of Bankers.
“Throughout his career, Mike has demonstrated great knowledge and understanding of our industry, strong leadership, and an ability to develop talent and produce results,” said Perry. “I am confident his impact will quickly translate into enhanced field performance.”
At Bankers, Buckley will be responsible for leading the nationwide field organization – comprising 5,000 career agents in 244 branches and satellite offices – and also for Bankers Learning Network, the primary training resource for field agents and managers.
Before Bankers, Buckley served in various sales management positions at Kroll Risk Consulting, AIG/American General and Prudential Insurance & Financial Services. He holds a B.S. degree in marketing from LaSalle University, and is a CLU, CHFC and LUTCF designee.
