Providence, RI (Grassroots NewsWire) January 12, 2009 - Bankers Life
and Casualty Company's Providence, Rhode Island sales office, one of the
national life and health insurer's fastest growing offices, will be adding
another 18 career agents to its staff by year-end.
"We're excited about our growth and what it means for the
communities we serve in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts," said Greg
Gelineau, Branch Sales Manager of the office located at 275 W. Natick Road in
Warwick, Rhode Island.
The Providence office has grown, on average, 63 percent each year
since it first opened in 2004 with only two agents. Today there are 74 agents
who work out of the office, each professionally trained to help customers
relieve their financial concerns with life, health and annuity products that
are appropriate and suitable for their financial security needs.
"We are set on becoming the leading provider of life and health
insurance for the seniors we serve," said Gelineau, whose support for the
communities' seniors goes beyond providing them with insurance protection.
Gelineau, a Board member of the Alzheimer's Association-Rhode
Island Chapter, and his office raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's
disease. Every year they participate in Bankers' own charitable giving event,
Forget Me Not Days, and the annual Memory Walk for Alzheimer's, along with
silent auction and golf tournament fundraisers for the Alzheimer's
Association-Rhode Island Chapter.
That commitment to seniors, coupled with a solid business and core
values that set a high standard of ethics and conduct, Gelineau believes, will
help the office continue to grow for years to come.
