Chicago, IL (October 08, 2009) - Bankers Life and Casualty Company announced that David Vega has been promoted to vice president, underwriting and new business.
Vega, 45, will be responsible for leading Bankers’ underwriting and new business functions for product lines including health, life and annuity. He reports to Scott Perry, president of Bankers.
“David is a proven operational leader with an extensive background in delivering services in the insurance industry,” said Perry. “His ability to communicate effectively, examine challenges and work cross-functionally will benefit the underwriting and new business organization tremendously.”
Vega joined Bankers in 2006 and previously served as Senior Director for long-term care operations. Before Bankers, Vega served in various operations and claims management positions at CIGNA Insurance, CNA Insurance and Long Term Care Group, Inc. David holds a B.B.A degree in human resource management from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
