CHICAGO (January 11, 2005) -
Michael Plazony, 46, has joined Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Chicago, as vice president of Underwriting.
The 24-year insurance industry veteran, who comes to Bankers from Caremark, has served in a variety of
capacities at Prudential, Employers Health Insurance, Travelers and Trustmark.
Plazony will report to Senior Vice President of Operations John Wells and will be responsible
for all New Business and Underwriting departments, including Health Underwriting, Life Underwriting and New
Business Processing.
"Mike's range and depth of experience will be a great benefit to our underwriting function
and the Operations Division," said Wells. "I know Bankers will benefit from the expertise he brings to the job."
The Indiana native earned his bachelors degree in Political Science from Indiana University.
