Maryland General Long Term Care Exclusions
Maryland policies have exclusions or limitations that are outlined below. For costs and complete details of the coverage contact one of our insurance producers or Bankers directly.

EXCLUSIONS
We won't cover expenses incurred:
- for illness or injury due to war or act of war;
- due to intentionally self-inflicted injury while sane or insane;
- to the extent they are paid under Medicare or any other government insurance plan (except Medicaid or Group Health Insurance Plans which cover government employees or dependents of such employees). This includes expenses that would be reimbursable by Medicare but for the application of a deductible or coinsurance amount;
- for services or supplies provided by a Family Caregiver, member of the Immediate Family, or a person who ordinarily lives in the Family Member's home;
- due to Mental Illness or nervous disorders without demonstrable organic disease; (Loss due to Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease or senile dementia is covered.)
- for Home Health Care services and supplies not included in the Home Health Care Plan;
- due to an injury or sickness which does not result in a Functional Incapacity or Severe Cognitive Impairment;
- for services furnished as a result of a referral prohibited by Section 1-302 of the Health Occupations Article;
- for which no charge is customarily made in the absence of insurance; or
- for personal, comfort or convenience items, (such as television, radio or telephone).
